I love all the previous Indiana Jones movies. Keep that in mind. I've never been anything but a fan and I enjoy those movies so thoroughly that I make it a point to watch them once a year.
However, I think I'll have to pretend that I haven't seen this latest one. It was soooooooo stupid and soooooooo boring. I've never been bored watching Indiana Jones, and so I was disappointed that I was with this one. I was extremely excited about seeing it and it failed. Completely.
#1. Shia Labouf can not and never will be a stand in for Harrison Ford. Let's take away the fact that Harrison is a brilliant actor and Shia leaves me wanting to gouge my eyes out, but Harrison was sexy in that smarmy dirty boy way. Again, Shia not so much.
#2. Aliens? REALLY? I mean, I know some people will be like Ark? Grail? But really, Aliens???
#3. It lacked the funny. I'm used to the movies having great one liners and it just seemed to be lacking in substance.
#4. The only part I found funny was when he's sinking into the sand and greesy McBouf ran and grabbed a snake and Indy wouldn't grab it! Awesomeness!
#5. Karen Allen is awesome! I love her. Her role in this movie was far too short. More Karen Allen Less Labouf!
#6. Marcus and Henry Sr. died! SAD!
#7. The fight on the trucks seemed to make up most of the movie. *yawn*
Overall, I didn't like it. I missed old Indy fighting Nazi's, not the Russians. :(
