Okay, debate talk!

First, let me start by saying that before Obama picked him I had no idea who Joe Biden was. I've been doing my research so I think I know what I'm tlaking about. Here are just some things that I noticed.

#1. Most glaring to me was that Joe Biden doesn't know what Article 1 of the Constitution does. I do. It doesn't set up the Executive branch, it sets up the Legislative branch. You see, our Four Fathers were worried about people having too much power. They didn't want states with large populations to have more votes and those large states didn't want to be limited by the number of people they had. In turn, they came up with a compromise. The Senate would have two representatives from each state, not basing it off population, and the House of Representatives would base it off population. It would also dictate the powers that both have. And in case of partisanship getting in the way, see our Four Fathers are smart men I tell ya, they set up the Senate so that the Vice President can preside over it and vote to break the tie.
#2. Palin and Biden both needed to do a little more fact checking. They were both wrong on a number of points. I thought Palin could have hammered harder on the fact that Obama voted "Present" more than he voted yes or no. I mean, come on, you can't decide to vote yes or no? Biden could have harped on the fact that McCain voted with Bush...a lot. But I'm not sure why both of them backed off of these points.
#3. I loved when Sarah said something along the lines of "Wow, I'm really not part of the Washington crowd." She was charming, and yes, her voice is sort of annoying, but so is Fran Dresher's and they gave her a sitcom!!
#4. Voice aside, I thought she did very well against a seasoned debater. Binden is known for sometimes being long winded, but he made short consise answers. I thought the answers were sometimes ridiculous, but hey, that's my opinion. Palin seemed confused only once. And she seemed to get under his skin more than he got under hers.
#5. I love that she addressed the liberal media and called them out on their shit. You can take a poll of 100 people, anywhere, ask them if they think the media is biased and they will, for the most part, tell you yes. I'm glad she handed it out to them.
#6. Biden teared up talking about losing a child and his wife and that was actually sort of touching.
#7. For those of you who second guess Sarah Palin for having a 4 month old baby out that "late"...come on, you're just nitpicking! Biden had his kids, and I assume grandkids out there and you don't have anything to say about it?
#8. I watched it on Fox News. Afterwards they had this room of about twenty people, half were Bush supporters and half were Kerry supporters in the 2004 election. They surveyed the people and gave them these toggles to evaluate the performance of the candidates and the highest spike it got to was when Sarah Palin addressed everyone about the Wall Street Crisis and said "We will not let this happen to us ever again." It was the highest it went all night. So, they asked this group who they thought won the debate and the majority said Sarah Palin. They asked why, and someone said "She seems more like a normal person, that Biden seemed to have been playing the Washington game for so long, it was hard to trust someone who had already let us down."
#9. Let me ask a question, those that don't like her. What is it that's so threatening about her? That she doesn't support Roe vs. Wade? She doesn't support gay marriage, because neither does Barack Obama or Joe Biden. Biden SAID they didn't support changing the definition of marriage from what it was. So, I'm really curious as to what it is you don't like about Sarah Palin. Don't say her voice, that's a lame reason and you know it. But give me specifics about her politics. I'm curious if it's all about abortion or are there other reasons.
