TWOP has a poll about new Buffy Movie, and my selection, and favorite of the choices for the question "Would you like to see a Buffy Movie?" is "Only if she slays Robert Pattison".

Nothing against Pattison, but if Stephanie Meyer had been in that answer I would have chosen it and hoped for a bloody horrible end!

Hard to believe it's the first of June!!

I'm starting to get a nice tan. I'm currently wearing hot pink, which looks good with nice brown color I am.

Still having an issue coping with all the people in the house. Yesterday, it was just the family, but it felt like more! I'm not sure what to do, but it's causing me to have anxiety attacks because of all the people. I'd like to move out, but I just can't afford it.

Mulan

You know, I really love the movie Mulan. Mainly because I love seeing the girl rescue everyone else. And I really love the relationship between her and Shang. I also, surprisingly, liked Mulan II. I thought it was very well done for a sequel.

I don't, however, feel they should make another one, like Cinderella. I think they should leave it where it is.

Question

If you're pro-life how do you justify killing someone? Isn't that hypocritical? I mean, doesn't killing someone go against the very thing you're for?

I suppose someone can justify it as saying "Saving hundreds of lives by taking one" but someone else is just going to do those abortions, so really, you've saved no one, you've just become the very thing you hate.

< RANT ABOUT TWILIGHT AHEAD!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!! >

I will be so freaking happy when this Twilight crap ends. I'm just tired of seeing that ugly girl all over the place. I'm usually not one to harp on looks because I believe that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and being bigger I feel a certain kinship for ugly ducklings and big girls. But I suppose what irritates me about this Kristen girl is that she seems like a truly miserable person. Like, she thinks she's the greatest actress ever and we should all be so thankful that we get to see her. PFFT! Of course, I feel the same way about Ellen Page, who again, acts as if she's God's gift while simultaniously telling everyone she's not.

Also, I've read the first book of Twilight and I swear, the girl is not Shakespear, her characters are one dimensional, and she nearly, completely, copied the character of Edward from Angel. I'm just tired of the worship of a series that truly doesn't deserve it.

That doesn't mean I think JKR is the greatest writer in the world. In fact, I think her work is flawed in a lot of ways. However, she laid the ground work for truly interesting characters that her fans can build off. Meyers took an already used, and done better genre, and tried to establish her career off of it by telling tweens that it's completely new. Um...excuse me?! Dark Shadows and Buffy came first, and they did it better.

I think it's just the overabundance of this drivvel everywhere. I mean, yahoo, foxnews, my thirteen year old cousin, all love this tripe and act as if Shakespear or Austin has come back reincarnated as Meyers. She admitted, once, in an interview that she used to write Buffy/Angel fan fiction and she got the idea from a fan fic she wrote. Well, that's all well and good, but then she recanted and has since said that she never said that. Um...hello! Yes, you did!

Anyway, I'm just sick of all of it. This isn't directed at people on my flist, but I'm just perturbed by seeing all the rave about it on yahoo and other sites that I just needed to say my peace.

Oh, and Edward only WISHES he was Angel or Spike. The end.

I have had the worst time sleeping lately. And the only thing that has enabled me to sleep is Ambien, which I'm not a fan of taking. I think all the stress of my job and this house has just thrown my body completely out of whack, and aside from a vacation on a tropical island with Gerard Butler for a week, I'm not sure what will fix it.
