Socialized Medicine

I'm curious about something:

How do those of you in the medical field (vashka_kat and jo_herself) feel about socialized medicine? I've yet to hear a medical worker, aside from my mother, answer this question.

For those that RP, do you ever find people's PB's for the characters irritating? Like, the person they picked is a complete contrast of how they were described in the book? As some of you know, it bothers me and I sometimes have a hard time reigning it in, but I suppose that's a pet peeve I have.

Eventually, I get over it because the writing usually encompasses why that person looks that way or that they could only be written like that and they eventually come to look that way in your head. Does that make sense? Like, I can move past it eventually, but it takes some time, just like I'm sure it takes everyone else some time.

However, there are some I just can't get past. For instance:

Dave Mustane, from the band Megadeath, is probably one of the most unattractive men I've ever seen. I'm not saying that to be mean, but come on. On my list of 10000000 hottest men, he isn't even on it. So, for someone to use him as Bill Weasley BOGGLES my mind? He's supposed to be the most attractive of the Weasley brothers. I get that Dave has long red hair, but that's about where the similarities end!

Justin Timberlake is NOT Marcus Flint. It's insane to make the suggestion! I can't even say anything more about it.
