Writer's Block: Secret Ballot

Polls in Bama opened at 7. I got there at 6:30 and the line was already wrapped around the building. However, once they opened, it moved super fast. Of course, I was in the shortest line because my last name starts with a Z. For one of the first times in my life, having my last name start with a Z worked to my advantage.
But it was great to see so many people taking part of the process. This is a huge deal. To think that less than a hundred years ago, women didn't have the right to vote. Less than 200 years ago, African American's didn't have the right to vote. Look how far we've come! And this is a historic election. No matter who wins, history will be made! With Sarah Palin as VP or Barack Obama as President. It's an exciting day in American Politics and History!
