Big Government BAD FOR BUSINESS!
Oct. 9th, 2008 07:06 amWhere does the fault truly lie.
I've been pretty silent for the last few days regarding politics because I'm sure some of you just get tired of hearing my point of view, but let me see if I can convince some of you that we're all getting the big screw here and it's going to continue to happen.
For the first six years of the Bush administration we had a booming economy. Unemployment was at an all time low, the stock market was doing phenomenally, and then something changed. Congress changed. You see, the Democrats took over Congress by saying that they would do everything they could to end the war in Iraq. Good job guys. However, what they did instead we should hold them accountable for. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are two institutions run by the Federal Government and the people on their boards are your Democrats in the House and Senate who were raking in big time bucks. They also decided to do the politically correct thing and began issuing any ordinary Joe Schmo that wanted a mortgage, whether or not they could afford it. Then, last year, when some of the Republicans began to question it, John McCain included in those, Barney Frank, one of the ring leaders in this scandal, said "Hey, wait, don't worry, everything is fine." Meanwhile he's lining his pockets with this...I'm going to call it blood money.
Now, here we are. Without any sort of oversight and with complete deception on these board members behalf, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac began to go under. Gee, is that because you're loaning money to people who could never afford to pay it back? Yep. So, what's the solution? Do you allow bad businesses to go out of business? No. What do they, Congress, decide to do? They decide to take OUR money and use it to buy off these bad companies and put them under complete control of the government. Yeah, because that's worked so well thus far.
Now, the other night, John McCain proposed taking $300 billion dollars of that money and buying out the bad mortgages and allowing these people to refinance their homes at the lowered rate of what they cost now. You see, now that the housing market is like it is, you can buy a house for practically nothing. So, if we did that, it might make some of these people actually able to afford living where they are. This would help to stimulate the economy. And by giving them fixed interest rates, this isn't likely to happen again.
Now, I don't agree with just handing these companies $700 billion dollars, and now Nancy Peliosi wants $150 billion more, HA! What we should have done was LOAN these companies the money and make them pay it back to us with INTEREST! Then turn around and use John McCain's plan of putting the money back into these bad mortgages. (And let me explain what waffling means. First, when your opponent suggests something that you've never heard him say, you come out and say, yeah, it's a good idea and I thought of it two weeks ago only no one can find a sound bite of you saying it, and then when your handlers realize that hey, it's not your idea, then it has to be a bad one and you denounce it).
And can I say the idea of ACORN offends me. Do you realize that his group, in Nevada, registered not only all the Dallas Cowboys but the Washington Redskins. It's complete and utter voter fraud. It's happening in states everywhere! Some of the people they're registering are dead, they're using multiple names, and they're getting away with it. And let me inform you that Barrack Obama was the lawyer for this group. I suppose the Dems are thinking, hey if we can't beat them outright, lets just fix the damn thing before the election even happens.
America, I'm scared for our future. I have a pretty good idea of what to expect with John McCain. Tax cuts, less government, and a continuation of the war until it's won. But Obama scares me. I find myself not being able to sleep at night because the thought of this man becoming President is terrifying.
Ask yourself these questions:
- He's proposed a National Health Care System that will be available to everyone. How is he going to pay for it? The government no longer has the funds because of the bail out. How is he going to pay for it if he's planning to cut taxes?
- Only like 8% of the population make over $250,000 a year. So if you put heavy taxes on those people, you still won't have enough to produce money for his big spending that he's planning. So, doesn't it stand to reason that he's going to lower that number and begin taxing people heavily who make less than $250,000 a year?
- He says he's only an associate of William Ayers. That can't be true. They worked on committees together and came up with some business proposals together. He even came up with the idea to run for President in Ayers living room. So tell me again, how is he only an associate?
- Joe Biden and Obama both say they want everything to be fair. Whatever happened to life isn't fair? They want to take the money and divide it equally making a huge middle class. Well, boys and girls, for those of you who didn't study Political Science or anything that is what you call SOCIALISM! It doesn't work. You always have an upper class, the ones that are dishing out the money, why, because they're lining their pockets with your hard earned cash. Don't be fooled. PLEASE, seriously, think about it. Palin called Biden on this redistribution of wealth and said it was a bad idea. Joe Biden said it's fair! It's not fair! There's nothing about it that's fair. I'm supposed to take the money I make and share it with someone who does less work than I do? HELL THE FUCK NO!
I have faith in our country. I have faith in its people. But this is not the right way to go about this. You can't cut taxes and then impose a 1 trillion dollar deficit onto the economy with Health Care. That doesn't even make sense!
Anyway, that's just my opinion. Disagree with it if you want, but I don't care. The things he says and the things he's going to do are very different things. And keep in mind:
All politicians are liars, and the one who wins is the best liar
