Jan. 21st, 2008 01:29 pmMy brother's girlfriend is pregnant. *sigh* He's twenty two and she's 19/20. At the moment, they're currently broken up thanks to her mom. You see, her mom is a crack head and has been in rehab while they've been together for the 7 or 8 months they've been together. Well, her mom got out of rehab and started putting pressure on her to leave Adam and come live with her (because she likes that Britney gets money from an accident she had with an ambulance -- and seeing as she doesn't want to work she wants Britney to live with her and foot the bill). So, Britney and Adam were not only living together but working together, riding together, they were together 24 hours a day. So you can imagine that they were starting to wear on one another nerves. Well, Britney told Adam that she needed some space and moved in with the crack head.
Then Adam called her and wanted to just go hang out, which pissed off her mom who told Britney that she doesn't need him and so Britney stopped talking to Adam for a week. She found out she was pregnant, and because she wasn't talking to Adam, she called my other brother Brad and told him to tell Adam she was pregnant. Adam wants nothing more than to be with Britney and their coming in 9 months baby and her mother is interferring. She hasn't given Britney any of Adam's messages or anything. So, my mom called Britney and told her that she wanted to talk to her.
Britney gets along really well with my parents, so she came over and my mom told her that the time for being mad and upset is over. They need to do the best thing for the baby. She said that Adam has a lot of love to give. She then asked Britney if she thought her life would have been different if she'd had her father and she said yes that she and Adam were working on it. My mom also told her that she needed to stop listening to people around her that were being negative (her psychotic crack head mother) and do what's best for the baby. Even if she and Adam aren't together he should have the right to be in that child's life as much as he likes. But, they left together to go do some things together.
I told my dad that give it six months and her mom will be back in rehab and the problem will be solved. But until then, it's up in the air what's gonna happen. *sigh*
