Positive things
Aug. 26th, 2010 12:18 amI decided that since I've been depressed that the best thing to do is to look at the good things I have. The good outweighs the bad, really.
Good things:
- My family - while they drive me crazy, most days, I know that when I need them there are there with all the love and support they can offer. My Godfather, my dad's youngest brother, just called me today because he was thinking about me and wanted to talk to me. One of my dad's sisters was in the Disney store when it was going out of business and saw some Nightmare Before Christmas stuff and knew I loved it, so she bought it and sent it to me, just because. My dad and mom have done everything they can to make me feel better, to my dad trying to make me laugh because he doesn't like to see me upset. Landon offers hugs and kisses at random times and has come up to me recently and patted me and said "Ashey no cry, ok?"
- My friends - specifically Michelle - is a never ending ream of support. I have to say that while she does get on my nerves occasionally, she's as close to a sister as I will ever have. Thing is, we're both two people who don't let the other wallow and feel sorry for themselves. We kick one another in the ass when we need it, we listen, and we're capable of making the other laugh when no one else can. She is driving four hours the weekend of my birthday just to hang out with me.
- My computer - it's pretty awesome. I bought it as a whole set from Sam's a few years ago. It's a Dell, which is all I will ever own now, and it's fabulous! It has enough room for me to play WoW and keep both Sims 2 and 3.
- World of Warcraft - you have no idea how cathartic it is to go kill some stuff when you're feeling upset.
- Craig Ferguson - I DVR this show because he makes me laugh. I think he's the best late night has to offer. I really like that he rarely ever talks to the people about what they're there to plug. Some of my favorite recent guests: Tom Felton, Robert Downy Jr., Tim Allen, Gerard Butler, and Emma Thompson. I also love his little cussing rabbit, Sid.
- That 70's Show and Big Bang Theory - I love these two shows. I've seen some episodes of That 70's Show so many times I can recite the words. Big Bang Theory, I love this show the more I watch it.
- The soundtracks of Glee - Truly has helped me get through today. "Don't Stop Believing", "Dream On", "Smile", and "Alone" can always bring a smile to my face, and goosebumps to my arms.
- And last but not least, you guys - There is a core group of you that offer never ending support. As long as I've had this journal, I know that I can come here and tell you guys things that I would never tell my real life people and you would never judge me of it. Some of you post things that make me laugh, think, and sometimes go "PLEASE PUT NAKED PEOPLE BEHIND A CUT" but it's almost always entertaining. My last post I cried while I wrote it, but after the love and support you guys sent my way, it really did make me feel better. You're the best online friends that a person could ever have.
So, really, thank you so much guys. Just keep being you.

So, I told you guys about my student loans...well, I have to withdraw from school tomorrow because I can't cover my tuition. I am also probably going to lose my car in the next day or so. I can't find a job. I even applied at McDonalds and was told they were not hiring. McDonalds is ALWAYS hiring. But when I need a job, there isn't one.
I'm really depressed. I've probably cried every day since last Monday. I haven't been sleeping well. I'm just stressed out and really unhappy. I don't know what to do. Also, my kidney is hurting, and I'm afraid that it is only going to get worse and instead of a kidney infection, which I can ward off with AZO standard, that it will turn out to be another kidney stone.
I'm trying to have faith that it will get better, but it's really hard when I feel like crap.
Been listening to this song to make me feel better, but it hasn't worked yet.
Smile though your heart is aching
Smile even though it's breaking.
When there are clouds in the sky
you'll get by.
If you smile through your pain and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
You'll see the sun shining through
For you.
Light up your face with gladness,
Hide every trace of sadness.
Although a tear may be ever so near
That's the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what's the use of crying.
You'll find that life is still worthwhile-
If you just smile.

Jul. 25th, 2010 05:22 pmYou know, I understand that everyone is in love with Lady Gaga. But really and truly, I think Christina actually beats her in the raunchy song category....
Nasty Naughty Boy - Christina Aguilera
Come here big boy
Ahh, mmmhmm, yeah
You've been a bad bad boy
I'm gonna take my time, so enjoy
There's no need to feel no shame
Relax and sip upon my champagne
'Cause I wanna give you a little taste
Of the sugar below my waist, you nasty boy
I'll give you some oh-la-la
Voulez vous coucher avec moi?
I got you breaking into a sweat
Got you hot, bothered, and wet
You nasty boy
Nasty naughty boy
Oh baby for all it's worth
I swear I'll be the first to blow your mind
Now if you're ready, come and get me
I'll give you that hot, sweet, sexy loving (loving)
Hush now, don't say a word
I'm gonna give you what you deserve
Now you better give me a little taste
Put your icing on my cake
You nasty boy
Oh no, oh there I go again
I need a spanking, 'cause I've been bad
So let my body do the talkin'
I'll slip you that hot, sweet, sexy loving
Ohh ha!
Come on daddy!
Ohh ohh, ohh ohh oh yeah
Oh yeaah oh, come on, sugar
I got you breaking into a sweat
Got you hot, bothered, and wet
You nasty boy
Nasty naughty boy
Naughty boy
Oh baby for all it's worth
I swear I'll be the first to blow your mind
Now that you're ready, give it to me
Just give me that hot, sweet, sexy loving
Now give me a little spanking
Ohh, ohh, is that all you've got?
Come on now, don't play with me
Oh give me that hot, sweet, nasty
Boy don't you make me wait
Now you better give me a little taste
Put your icing on my cake
You nasty boy
Mmmm

Just some stuff to talk about
Sep. 15th, 2009 09:07 pmBig Bang Theory premier in less than a week! YAY!
*~*
Dancing with the Stars premier in a week! DOUBLE YAY! There are some videos on youtube of the rehersals, and I think some people will do really well, while others will struggle. I'm torn who to support, but my fav pros are Derek and Mark, and probably will be Anna Demidov.
Also, already an injury, Tom Delay was hurt dancing today, but he's going to push on through. I'm telling you, this show is DANGEROUS!!
I also found out that the Ballas Hough Band will be performing on the show sometime this season, which is great for Mark and Derek. Their music rocks, and they're multitalented guys and I hope it really brings something out for them. Not to mention my love for Derek grows daily as he's blond and I seem to have a thing for blonds, what with Draco, Eric, Derek...combine the first two names and you get the 3rd...weiiiiiird.
*~*
Stats sucks ass. I don't understand anything he's talking about. I think the reason is that he's so smart he doesn't know how to dumb it down for everyone else. Which sucks because I don't want to be the person in the room that doesn't understand. But that's how it is every class.
However, during class today while I was not understanding, I got about 4 pages written of Broken Road.
*~*
Speaking of Broken Road, I'm getting a pretty good response from it. I really hope that people are enjoying it and aren't just saying things to be nice. I want honesty. If you honestly think it sucks, then tell me.
*~*
Mickey Rourke was just on Hannity, and I really think he was stoned out of his mind. I could be wrong, but I do.
*~*
Last word on Kanye West vs. Taylor Swift. I really think the winner, the shinning star in the whole event was Beyonce. She didn't have to give up her time to allow Taylor to speak, but she showed that she is a good person with a big heart.
Also, be happy, I finally agree with our President on something: Kanye is a jackass.
*~*
I'm totally in love with the band Muse, now. I love "Uprising" but I think "Undisclosed Desires" is my favorite song.

Sep. 14th, 2009 02:42 pmSo, it is because of the VMA's that I have discovered the band Muse. I really loved the song they performed last night, "The Resistance".
Lady Gaga freaked the hell out of me. What was with the weird ass costumes! Here's how I feel about it. If you have talent, it will shine and you don't need the gimmicks of the weird clothes and stuff. Your talent should be enough.
Which brings me to Taylor Swift, who gave a great performance last night after Kanye did something completely vile to her. She turned a horrid thing into something shinning and she, and Beyonce, are the real winners from last night.
Just one more thing. I miss with the VMAs were full of unexpected things, from Kid Rock playing with Aerosmith, Pee-Wee Herman making jokes about getting caught with his pants down in a porn theater, to Brittney Spears dancing around on stage with a python, and Eddie Murphy going down into the women's bathroom during the show. I liked those things. But really, it should be about the music.
Do you realize that if a band like Led Zeppelin or Boston or Foreigner came out today that they would never get air play because they aren't attractive. They just made good music, gave good performances, and if it was based on looks they would have been screwed. Something is wrong with that.
One more thing about the Kanye outburst, notice that the only person defending him is Russell Brand who got in trouble last year for making fun of the Jonas Brothers for being virgins. Guess he knows what it's like to kick puppies and have people hate him for it.

I love Christmas!
Dec. 1st, 2008 12:46 pmYeah, I know, Thanksgiving has only been over for like 4 days, but I love Christmas.
And let me tell you. The right Christmas song sung by the right person can bring me to a snivvling sobbing ball of crazy. Seriously! O Holy Night by Josh Groban leaves me a shaking quivering mess.
I'm listening to the Christmas station on XM-Radio! It gets me so totally into the mood of the season.
Also -- it snowed here this morning. How crazy is that? Unseasonably cold for Alabama.
I also love the song "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas".
OH, I just thought of other songs that make me cry!
Grown Up Christmas List - Kelly Clarkson or Natalie Cole
Angels Among Us - Alabama
Christmas Shoes - I don't know who sings it, but it totally OWNS me!!

Question...
Dec. 20th, 2007 03:24 pmDoes anyone have Alicia Keys' new CD?
I do.
It's amazing.
Run, don't walk, to buy it.
Favorite song(s):
No One
Superwoman
Where Do We Go From Here
Lesson Learned (ft. John Mayer)
It's almost time for me to go home. I'm off tomorrow, but I work Sat. :( I haven't worked Saturday since August and I'm dreading it. The salesman I really don't like is here that day. Again I say :( However, it will give me time to get all of my filing done.
