I answered the phone and it was my dad's boss and he said to me. "Hello, Ashley, you've just lost your job because your father won't do what I told him to do. Now let me talk to Bob."
I looked at my dad, told him what he said and he walked in his office and slammed his door. When my dad told me that he was serious, he was crying and he just kept apologizing and that it wasn't because of me, that I was doing a great job, but it was a way for his boss to get back at him for his sales.
So, I've been sitting at home most of the day. I've decided to take the positive side of this. Had it not happened, I think I would have stayed at that job indefiniately. Instead, my mom has sent my resume to her friends that work on the Redstone Aresenal. He's a three star general and the other guy is head of the civilian unit that hires there. So, I could have a new job soon.
